Keep turning in Box Tops! You are doing great. You can turn them in loose or on the box top collection sheets. Either way is great. We are keeping track of how many each class turns in. The class with the most box tops turned in will get an ice cream party at the end of the year!

Health Highlight
Did you know 1/3 of all babies who get whooping cough get it from their mothers? There is a safe and effective shot that can protect you, your family and your baby. The shot is Tdap. It is recommended for everyone ages 11-64 years old especially those that are care givers of an infant. It is also recommended that new mothers get the Tdap vaccination to protect them from whooping cough and reduce the risk for exposing their infants to the disease.
Adults can contract pertussis and unknowingly pass it on to others, including babies, who have the most serious complications and highest death rates from the disease. Children are typically immunized against pertussis, but are not fully protected until after receiving three or four doses of the vaccine. Immunity from the childhood pertussis vaccine wears off over time in adults, and, unfortunately, most are not aware they need to get an adult pertussis booster.
While whooping cough is often mistaken for a common cold or bronchitis in adults, it can be potentially deadly in infants. Adults who received vaccinations when they were children may mistakenly believe that they are still protected, but immunity wears off over five to 10 years, leaving them vulnerable to contracting and spreading the disease.
The Tdap vaccine is currently being offered free of charge for adults at the Bear River Health Department. You can contact them at 792-6564 for hours.

Principals Message
Dear Wilson Parents,
As a wind up to the year, I have taken the opportunity to review the Behavior Chubrics with your student.
Grades 3, 4, and 5 are taking a weekly survey during computer. The survey asks them questions about their academic and social experience at school. The information from the survey will help us to address concerns and foster strengths. We have started to have them think about each Behavior Chubric: BE SAFE, BE RESPECTFUL, and BE RESPONSIBLE by using some of the following questions.
Were you confused about how to behave yesterday?
- NO or If YES, When? (during class, during recess, during lunch, before school, after school)
Are there any kids in your class you DON’T want to be friends with?
- NO or if YES, WHY? (they break rules, they are different, they smell funny, they are mean)
Once again I want everyone to be aware that Spring Break is April 4 – 8 and there will be NO SCHOOL. We will also be having our PAWS run (Pursuing Athletics With Success), End of Level testing and the Final Assembly.
Xoxoxo Miss Sundee

PTA Message
Dear Parents,
We had such a great turn out for dads and donuts! Thanks to all of those that came and also to Jen Kajma for putting it together.
We want to thank Amy Hochberg for her great service, working on the Science Fair. It turned out wonderfully. We want to thank all of the parents and children who worked on projects. They were amazing!
Box Tops are due this month! Any we receive after April will go towards next year. So please turn them in. A special thank you to Elizabeth Anderson for collecting and counting all of the Box Tops. She has done a great job.
We are still looking for Board members for next year. If you are interested in being involved in the PTA please call me.
It is a pleasure working with so many of you and getting to know you. Thanks for your support!
Thanks again,
Ivie Foster
