Fall Greetings,
I would like to take this time to thank you for all of your support - Not only for the School Community Council elections, but for the Back to School Night and hope you will support the Fun Run.
I would like to mention that we will be holding SEP Conferences on October 17th and 18th. I am always encouraged by the great turnout we have during those conference times. Conferences give us a way to “track success”, to celebrate and to plan for your child.
At that time, we will have sign ups for our Parent University. Parent University sessions will be brief (about one half hour), yet provide a wealth of useful material to parents. The teaching team from each grade level will develop a concise picture of literacy and numeracy class work, focusing on the most challenging content taught during that particular nine week period. They may include such things as a PowerPoint presentations and printed handouts or teachers may prepare hands-on activities for students and parents.
XOXO Miss Sundee
SEP Conferences are October 17th from 4-8 pm and October 18th from 2-8 pm. Online scheduling will be available from October 2nd – 9th. Follow instructions on the letter that we send home with your student. If you do not have access to the internet please contact the school and we will schedule a conference appointment for you.
Happy Fall Ya’ll!
Thank you for the tremendous support we had with the Great American PTA fundraiser!
Items are scheduled to be delivered to the school on November 2nd and we will get those packaged and sent home with the students as quickly as we can.
Red Ribbon week is October 24 - 28. As part of Red Ribbon Week, we will have the following “School Spirit” Days:
Monday- Dream Big! Wear your pajamas
Tuesday-Join the fight against drugs! Wear Camouflage
Wednesday- Team up against drugs! Wear your favorite “team” shirt
Thursday- Sock it to Drugs- Wear crazy socks
Friday- Pledge to be drug free! Wear RED
The 2nd Annual Fall Festival will be Friday, October 28th starting at 6 p.m. with a Costume Parade for parents and family to watch. Again this year, we will have the Pumpkin Decorating contest! Start thinking of creative ways to paint, decorate, and assemble your pumpkin! Please make sure the students, NOT the parents do the majority of the work. Prizes will be awarded the night of the Festival. We will announce more activities the closer the Festival gets.
