Community Council Minutes
12/15/2011 Community Council Minutes
3:45 Meeting at Wilson Elementary School in room by the Principals office. Anyone who has items they wish to discuss are always welcome to attend.

4:10 Parent Involvement Policy
Present final draft copies and questions about implementation
Vote on Parent Involvement Policy. Vote was approved by all members in attendance.
4:20 Meeting Time Change
Vote on Revised Community Council Calendar and Meeting Time. Vote was approved by all members in attendance.
New Proposed time is the third Thursday of each month at 4:00 PM. The Meeting will still be held in the school conference room.

Parent University Plan Discussion
We have decided that we will start this and pilot some ideas we have. We want to video teachers showing how to do the homework and put it on Skype. These will also be put on the community council blog.
4:40 AYP Status
Current Reality & Data (Sundee)
More information is coming. We wish testing could be put back another week because it falls right after winter break. Sundee needs us to approve a change to our Trustland budget. She would like to use our left over money for and AmeriCorp to hire another aid. One of our AmeriCorp went to a different job and this money is left over. This new aid will help with Imagine If, Guiding Reading for 1st grade, and for ABC Club.
